Following presentation made to the Minister responsible for tourism and ultimately Hon. Prime Minister, the Government directed TANAPA Board of Trustees to meet to resolve on the issue of status of Tour Operators in relation to the payment and collection of concession from accommodation facilities situated in the National Parks.
At its meeting held recently the TANAPA Board of Trustee decided to exclude Tour Operators from the exercise of collection of the said fees and resolved that this exercise should remain between the Land Lord (TANAPA) and the Leasee (Hotels with properties in the Parks). Please be advised accordingly.
